Around 4AM today, my baby uttered the word “Mama” when she was requesting me to feed her. She was already saying “Mama” as early as 2 mos. but it sounded like “mmmmmaaaaa ….. mmmmmaaaaa…..” so that doesn’t count! This is the only time that she said it clearly! I was so surprised! Even my hubby heard her say it! Before she was born, my hubby & I had a conversation that Nicole’s first word would be “Papa” instead of “Mama”. And now, he knows that he can never change the fact that most babies will have “Mama” as their first word! Whew, that’s a relief!
Lately, Nicole has been active in talking. I don’t know if she just said it by accident or what… When her dad kissed her on her tummy, she said, “mmmmyokoyoko!”
While we were watching animal planet, she said “bbbbver” ( I don’t know why… there’s no beaver when we were watching!) Oftentimes, she will talk to you as if she’s telling a story. She will also laugh/smile as if her story was funny! What’s more funny is when you find yourself talking back to her as if you understand what she’s talking about!
Hahahaha!!!!!

In fact both my sons started calling the word “Pa” as early as 1 1/2mth and at 2 they can call “PaPa” already. But they started calling “MaMa” after 3 months.
Toddlers have a mimic mindset after 2 mth where they listen and utter words although not precisely clear.
At 4-6 mths when they start to crawl and grab things then become headache, as they pick and put in their mouth especially those colourful item.
From my sons experience, words that are repeated or more often use by adults or shows, have a better image or better grab by them.
Now my son elder 7 yrs and youngest 3yrs.
