Global Warming – Global problem

I’ve been to a blog and seen this site very alarming! Below is a sample snapshot of www.breathingearth.net.

Based from their website:

“This presentation displays the carbon dioxide emission levels of every country in the world as well as their birth & death rates.”

This just shows that global warming is really a big problem for all of us. See those two countries with red marks on it? That means those are the countries who are currently emitting 1000 tonnes of CO2 when I took a screenshot. Thank God Philippines is still below 1000 tonnes!

These are the top 5 things we could do in stopping global warming:

1. Fill your garden with plants/trees. This will not only help stopping global warming but also helps beautifying your home.

2. Conserve energy. You can do this by turning off appliances/lights when not in use and unplugging electrical devices such as your TV when you sleep instead of just putting them to standby.

3. The 3Rs. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Don’t just throw plastic containers/bottles. If you’re not going to use them, sell it to a junk shop near you.

4. Use compact flourescent lamps/bulbs instead of incandescent ones.

5. With the continuous increase of oil prices, try to bring your car only when necessary to minimize pollution.
