Banzai is a Japanese word which means “Ten thousand years”. This phrase originated in ancient China and is used as an expression to wish long life to the Emperor. It is typically translated as “long live” in English. I don’t know if you remember the Japanese television show Banzai. It is a comedy gambling show that was aired 2003. It is a game show in which players will bet with each other on the outcome of a shown segment/clip. You will find it really weird at first but you’ll surely have fun.
If you missed this TV show, here’s your chance to play it for yourself because Banzai is now on DVD! You play it by watching the video clips on your DVD and bet on the outcome of the stunt. Players race to bet by filling their betting bowls with sushi using only chopsticks!
The player who wins all the sushi wins the game! I would love to play this game with my husband! We’ll definitely have a good laugh watching the video clips from the original TV show.
If you want to get one now, you can purchase it online. For $29.99, it’s not that bad. You can also take a look at Tako, the 6-tentacle octopus in Myspace www.myspace.com/takotheocto
